R. BRADLEY LEWIS
Brad Lewis has represented both businesses and individuals in his stellar legal career of nearly 40 years. His practice is currently concentrated in general civil litigation, including personal injury, insurance defense, medical malpractice, corporate and business related litigation, constitutional and civil rights litigation and sports law. He is an honor graduate of LSU Law School, where he was President of his senior class and a member of the Order of the Coif. He served in the United States Army as a Judge Advocate General Attorney and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.
Mr. Lewis has substantial experience in litigating disputes in both state and federal court, including cases involving constitutional and civil rights law. He has successfully defended law enforcement officers in hundreds of civil rights cases and has never lost a civil rights case for a law enforcement officer. He has successfully defended the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, Inc. (LHSAA) for over 30 years without ever losing a case brought by a school, student, or parent challenging the eligibility or other rules of the LHSAA.
The Louisiana Supreme Court appointed Mr. Lewis to serve as Judge Pro-Temp of the Bogalusa City Court in 1986 - 87. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the local, state and American bar association and is a past president of the Washington Parish Bar Association. He is active in civic affairs and has served as president of his local Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce.
